Pastel on primed board

11/09/2008 - This massive scene is going to be my next challenge. With the first series completed I've decided to start work on a second series, aiming for even more dynamic scenes capturing the social interaction of the chimpanzees. It's going to take a while but I feel that it will be worth it. This piece will be my largest wildlife pastel, featuring no less than 11 chimps! The image is 820mm wide. This is the second stage thus far. I've begun the work on the jungle foliage and blocked in the first of the chimps. I hope to have another update on this by the weekend.
